Let’s say you haven’t been a biker your entire life. If you are starting to work on a goal, begin with something small like biking around the block. You slowly increase that goal to where you’re biking half a mile.

Then you work up to you being able to bike a mile. Slowly you increase how much you ride until you all of a sudden realize that you have done 5 miles.

You will be excited every time you achieve a milestone. Achieving workout goals boosts your self-esteem when you realize that little by little, you have reached your fitness goal.
